The conference will provide an open forum for experts around the world to exchange information and to thoroughly discuss topics related to analysis, design, testing, manufacturing, and construction of modern bamboo structures. Proceedings will be provided as a state-of the-art document on modern bamboo structures. The conference will also encourage international joint research on bamboo structural applications.

The ICBS 2009 is intended for civil engineers, mechanical engineers, architects, designers, constructors, students and other professionals interested in the latest advances in the analysis, design and construction of modern bamboo structures.
